In property management, a delinquency refers to when a tenant has not paid rent by the due date. If you only manage a small portfolio of rental properties you will probably identify this quickly, but once you have a larger portfolio you will need the tools to quickly identify. 

ManageCasa offers a few easy ways to identify which payments are delinquent. 

From the transaction table within ManageCasa’s accounting tab you can filter your transactions with a set of filters. 

Example:

  • Transaction Type: Income
  • Account Type: Rent
  • Property Type: Keep ‘All’ if you want to see all unpaid rent transactions AND
  • Transaction Type: Unpaid

For this particular search you wouldl see which Rent Income transactions across all of your properties have been unpaid.

You can even refine your filters to identify overdue and with that delinquent rent income transactions when you ……????

Example:

  • Transaction Type: Income
  • Account Type: Rent
  • Property Type: Keep ‘All’ if you want to see all unpaid rent transactions AND
  • Transaction Type: Overdue

This selection shows you all rent income transactions across all properties where the due date has been past making them delinquent.

If you need a full report you can run our rent roll report and you will see the amount delinquent sorted by tenant as well.
