Generating Form 1099 in your ManageCasa account is made fast and simple by automatically generating a list of all parties that have incurred over $600 of 1099 compensation (both property owners and vendors). There is some prerequisite data that must to be entered into your ManageCasa account in order for the Form 1099 to generate:
Prerequisite Data to Add
- Company Tax ID
- Click on the gear icon at the bottom of the left menu and select Settings
- Select Company Information
- Enter your company tax ID into the field "Tax ID"
- Property Owner/Contractor Contact Tax ID and Address
Based on the W9 that you have already collected from your vendors and property owners, you should have all the information that you need. To enter this information:- Click on Contacts in the left menu
- Click the three dots next to the contact you would like to create the Form 1099 for and select Edit
- Fill out the Company Type, Tax ID, and Address fields
- Click update at the bottom of the screen

Once all of the prerequisite information is filled in, you can see a list of all your Form 1099s generated by:
- Click Manage in the left menu
- Select IRS Tax Form 1099
*If any property owner or contractor prerequisite information is missing, do not worry. You will be prompted with a notification on the screen to enter this data:
To file your 1099, follow these steps:
- Click on the three dots next to the 1099 you would like to file and select Generate Preview
- There is a $19.00 fee per 1099 filed to the IRS. If you agree, select the box next to the agreement and click Confirm
- To preview the file that will be submitted, click on the paperclip icon on the 1099
- Once you are ready, click on the three dots next to the 1099 and select Submit 1099
The statuses will change as follows: New --> Review Available --> Generating Review --> Review Final
