Things happen—sometimes tenants or owners are late with their payments. As a property or association manager, knowing how to handle these situations is crucial. ManageCasa offers two delinquency reports that provide the information you need to track unpaid balances. In this guide, we'll cover how these reports work and how to access them.
What Are Delinquent Reports?
- Delinquent Tenant (DT) Report: A listing of all tenants who are late on rent payments. This report helps you easily identify which tenants are behind on their payments and by how much.
- Delinquent Owner (DO) Report: A report that displays all outstanding charges from property owners that have not yet been paid. This helps in tracking any overdue balances from owners and managing collections effectively.
Steps to Access Delinquency Reports
For Delinquent Tenants:
- Navigate to Reports: Start by heading to the Reports section in your ManageCasa dashboard.
- Locate the Delinquent Tenant Report: Once in the Reports section, look for the Delinquent Tenant report to review unpaid rent balances for tenants.
For Delinquent Owners:
- Navigate to Reports: Similar to tenant reports, go to the Reports section.
- Locate the Delinquent Owner Report: In the Reports section, select the Delinquent Owner report to review unpaid charges for property owners.
How to read the report
The delinquency reports show balances as of a specific date. Only unpaid transactions dated on or before the selected "as of" date will appear. Future-dated unpaid transactions after that date will not be reflected in the report. For example, if the report is generated for September 15th, unpaid transactions occurring after that date will be excluded.
By using these two delinquency reports, you can efficiently track unpaid balances and manage your properties or associations more effectively.
Tip:
In case you work with a collections agency and want to restrict payments being made, we recommend you lock the account.
