Use Our Data Migration Service and We Will Import Your Data for You

Switching to a new software can be a daunting task. If you feel that migrating your data via spreadsheets in our bulk upload feature is too cumbersome, ManageCasa has the ability to conduct a custom data migration for you. We work with new clients to make switching as easy and quick as possible.

As part of your Software set up you want to create master data, such as contacts (e.g. tenants, homeowners, service pros), properties, property management terms, leases, and chart of accounts.

You can create these records in the system yourself. Yet if you manage a large portfolio of properties and units, you probably want to migrate the data from your old system and perform a bulk upload.
 

ManageCasa offers the following three data migration packages (can be combined):
 

1. Standard Data Migration:

• You provide correct and complete data for contacts, properties, property management terms and leases in the ManageCasa Data Migration Template format (easy download in the ManageCasa application). 
• You upload your data in the ManageCasa application
  or
• ManageCasa offers to validate and even upload your data as part of the Premium Implementation service.
• This is included in your base or premium subscription. There is no extra cost for you.

2. Full Service Data Migration: 

• You provide correct and complete data for contacts, properties, property management terms and leases (if applicable) in your own format as xls or .csv file.
• ManageCasa performs a full data transformation, incl. data mapping and validation. We prepare the upload files in the respective ManageCasa templates, we test the upload files, and after your sign-off perform the full upload.
• We help setting your beginning balances.
• Price: $3/unit, with a minimum charge of $150 per Data Migration project.

3. Custom Data Migration: 

• We perform the data transformation and upload for additional data objects, e.g. custom fields, historical accounting transactions (current fiscal year only), chart of accounts.
• Data files provided not in xls/csv format.
• We set your beginning balances.
• Current MC professional services hourly rates apply.

You can pick from these options when you sign up for the ManageCasa subscription, or you can add any of these options later by writing an email to support@managecasa.com. 

In general, we'd like to stress the importance of data quality!

• Do you have all the necessary information, especially for mandatory fields? 
• Is the data complete, are there any duplicates?
• Is the information is current?

Remember the basic rule in data management: 'Garbage in, garbage out'. Meaning: your transactional data will never be correct as long as your master data is incorrect. You are the best judge of your own records, so please review them carefully. Before we load any data for you, we'll ask for your formal sign-off on the accuracy and completeness of the load file(s).
While you can correct data later, it is much more time-consuming than getting it right the first time.
