1. Is there a specific order that I should complete the bulk loader templates?
- When loading the data templates to your ManageCasa account, always upload the contact template first. The contact users need to exist before uploading any properties, leases, or property management terms so the system knows which contacts to reference.
2. What do I do if there are two contacts that share the same email or are combined as one single user?
- You can only use one unique email per contact. Best practice is to have a separate contact per user you would like to add. If you separate the users, either enter a different unique email or don't fill in the email for the second contact.
3. If I don't need certain columns in the spreadsheet, can I delete them?
- Do not delete any columns or add any new sheets that are not in the base template. This will always result with the spreadsheet failing during the upload.
4. Why am I getting an error for fields that are optional?
- Certain 'optional' fields must all be filled out if you enter certain data. For example, if you enter a phone number, you must specify the "Phone Type". Or, if you enter in address information, all fields related to the address must also be filled in.
5. What if my contact has more than one address?
- The address field should primarily be used for the contact's mailing address. In order to utilize ManageCasa's mailing service, we will need the mailing address information linked to the contact. If you do not have the mailing address, you can still enter the relevant information in!
6. How do I add custom field data?
- You can add custom field data by adding an additional column after the last column in the spreadsheet. Label the column with the custom field title and add the data in the respective column.
- NOTE: The custom field must exist in your ManageCasa account in order for the bulk loader to recognize what data needs to be created. 7. What happens if I upload two contacts with the same name?
- Multiple contacts may share the same name. If you input more than one contact record in the spreadsheet with the same name, duplicate contacts will get created. We understand that there might be cases where different unique users share the same name. If this happens, you can enter them as separate line items in the template so different contacts get created. However, if they reference the same person, only enter the contact information once.
8. What if there are two different mailing addresses for the same contact?
- Only one mailing address can be used in the template. Use the primary address or the first instance to fill in the mailing address for the contact.
