Encouraging residents to adopt digital payments reduces risk, saves time, and improves efficiency.
Encouraging Digital Payments
- Cover the ACH fee as part of operating expenses to maximize adoption.
- Remind residents they can set up automatic payments or pay conveniently via the ManageCasa Portal or mobile app.
Configuring ePayments
Once subscribed to ManageCasa ePayments, configure your settings:
- Click your Profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Under the Finances section, click ePayments.
- Review the default configuration provided by ManageCasa.
- These defaults are designed to be reasonable for most businesses.
- You can update the settings, particularly around fee assessment, to match your business needs.
Understanding ePayment Fees
ManageCasa charges your business for each ePayment:
- Payment cards – 2.9% per transaction
- ACH (bank transfer) – $3 flat fee
These charges occur immediately and apply directly to the payment made.
You can choose to:
- Cover the fees yourself (recommended for ACH to maximize adoption).
- Pass fees through to tenants or property owners.
- Offset or profit by adjusting fee settings per transaction.
Editing ePayment Settings
Click Edit ePayments Settings to customize how fees are handled:
- Use the Fee Calculator to preview charges for payees and potential impacts on your account.
- Decide who pays the fee:
- Tenant payments – Tenant (payee), your business account, or the property owner.

Owner payments – Either your business or the property owner.
- If charged to the owner, fees appear in the Owner Statement generated from the Property Management Terms page.
