Overview
The RentSmart integration allows property managers to view, review, and approve applicants directly from their ManageCasa account. Once connected, all applicant data flows seamlessly between ManageCasa and RentSmart, simplifying the leasing process from application to lease creation.
Accessing Applicants
- Log in with your ManageCasa account.
- From the left menu and click Property Units.
- From the top banner, select List with RentSmart. You will be redirected to the RentSmart website.
- If you accidentally close the banner, you can still access it by clicking the question mark icon in the upper‑right corner.
- In your RentSmart account, click Applicants.
- All applicants will be displayed, showing which property they applied for.
Reviewing Applicant Details
To review an applicant:
- Select the applicant from the list to open their profile.
- You’ll see detailed information including:
- Personal details
- Financial and employment information
- Background and history checks
- If additional information is needed, click Request Additional Info to prompt the applicant for more details.
Creating a Lease Directly from RentSmart
Once an applicant has been reviewed and approved:
- From the Applicants tab, select the applicant to open their profile.
- In the upper‑right corner, click Approve Household.
- Enter the required details and click Approve & Notify.
- A lease will automatically be created in ManageCasa.
To view the lease:
- From the same page, click View Lease in ManageCasa.
- The lease will appear as In Progress, allowing you to review and edit before publishing.
