How do I create a rent charge for my tenants?

Sending out rent charges to your tenants should be hands-off and created at the frequency you expect. ManageCasa helps you set up the automation behind creating rent for your tenants through our lease agreement module. You can set the terms you have for the lease's rent and ManageCasa will handle the rest when it comes to creating it.

How to set up the recurring rent charge when creating a lease

1. Go to Manage in the left menu
2. Click Lease Agreements
3. Click Add to create a new lease
4. Fill out the lease terms, and focus on the section labeled Amount and Schedule of Rent Payment
   
   Notice how the frequency is set to Monthly. Here, we are telling the system to create a monthly rent charge of $1,500.00 set to be due on the first of each month. You can scroll down to the section Preview of Transaction Record to see a preview of what charges are going to be created when triggered.
5. Click Publish to create the lease
6. Now, go to Accounting in the left menu and click on Recurring
   
   
   When the lease is published, a recurring transaction is created for you in your accounting. This recurring charge contains all of the information from the lease terms so you do not have to keep recreating the rent charge. Your account will automatically create the rent charge on the next expected date based off the frequency and dates you set!
