ManageCasa now integrates with RentSmart, giving property managers powerful tools to handle applicants, listings, and tenant screening—all in one place. Through our partnership with RentSmart Syndication, listings are automatically shared across leading platforms like Apartments.com, Zillow Group, Zumper, etc. helping managers attract more leads with less effort.

How to use the TransUnion Background Check feature for individual Applicants
- Navigate to Applicants - From the Dashboard, click Applicants, or go to More Features → Applications.
- Select Applicant - Open an existing application or create a new one.

Initiate Background Check
- In the applicant’s profile, enable the Background Check option.
- Runs after payment by default.
- Can be set to run after review.
- In the applicant’s profile, enable the Background Check option.
- Select whether you would prefer to do the Background Check only after you have reviewed the application. By default, the Background Check happens after the payment step of an application.
- Choose Background Check Options: Upon selecting the background check option, you'll be presented with various choices and settings. Decide whether you want to include criminal history, eviction proceedings, income verification, or other additional checks provided by TransUnion. Select the options that best suit your screening criteria.
- Enter the Application Fee if you plan on charging any. You may also link your bank account for the debiting of the fees.
The system will give you a breakdown of the fees related to the background checks.
